Welcome to Troop 36!

Our goal is first to have fun! While having fun, you will learn skills that will help you become better equipped for outdoor adventure. You will learn to work together with your patrol members and troop, and also to develop lifelong friendships. You will learn leadership skills that will help you become a leader in your family, community, and nation. You will develop values that will help guide you through the rest of your life. You will also develop an understanding of your duties to your family, religious beliefs, and your responsibilities to the environment.

Troop 36 Scouts Get SCUBA Certified!

Posted on May 22 2023 - 1:35pm

Congratulations to our Troop 36 scouts who took on extra online classwork and early mornings to train at an indoor pool in WI two weeks ago and top off their work with open water dives this past weekend at Haigh Quarry in Kankakee-IL. Water conditions were a bit cool at 51 degrees, and visibility a little churned up at times but they did wonderful. Well done scouts! (Special thanks needs to go out to the parents who helped get their scouts to these early mornings and the extra parent drivers who helped immensely in transporting scouts and gear).

SCUBA Certification and Discover SCUBA Experience

Posted on Sep 21 2022 - 5:15pm

<<<REVISED 2ND WEEKEND SESSION DATES>>>   As Troop 36 SeaBase Crew prepares for next summer's outing to Florida by getting several members SCUBA certification, we would like to offer the same dive program, which has been discounted for BSA, to other scouts or family members of Troop 36. Scouts who complete this program will also receive their SCUBA merit badge. The dive shop has proposed a fun "Discover SCUBA Experience" as well for any scouts who are not ready for certification but would like to try SCUBA.
