What’s new
Every update to MyTroop, newest first, with the date it reached this site. Updates are often released together, so one date can cover several versions.
Version 1.14.0
Photo emails to your troop list arrive now
Email to a troop mailing list carries up to 25 MB of photos and files. Messages bigger than about one photo used to disappear on the way in — no delivery and no bounce — and now they go through. If you belong to the troop and your message is over the limit, you get a reply explaining why.
Version 1.13.2
See what changed in each release
A dated list of every update, readable from the help centre, with a version number that matches the one in the footer.Bug fixes and improvements
- Unblock the preprod deploy pipeline
- Groundwork for emailing the troop your photos
Version 1.12.0
Guest pricing and a family maximum
Events can charge a separate price for guests and cap the total any one family pays, quoted from a single place so the checkout matches the estimate. The troop switcher respects custom domains
Switching troops sends you to that troop's own domain, and domain settings can only be changed by the server.Texts that exceed the budget are refused up front
A text that would exceed the remaining budget is refused at the send path rather than after you have written it.Dark mode, and a bigger help button
Choose light, dark, or match your device. The help icon is now large enough to hit with a thumb.
Version 1.10.2
Fixed a crash on the Scout screens
Scout pages no longer fail when a birthday arrives in an unexpected format.Incoming texts are no longer lost
Fixed a path where an incoming text was acknowledged to the carrier and then dropped.Move photos between albums
Admins can move photos from one album to another in bulk.Email limits, and no more exposed addresses
Bulk email is capped per troop, and the assistant's send tool no longer discloses every parent's address to recipients.Verified publishers on the AI consent screen
The consent screen shows whether a connecting application has been verified, and stops vouching for names nobody checked.Accessibility fixes across shared controls
Brought the shared buttons, dialogs and form controls up to the accessibility standard the rest of the site meets.CSV export and import wait for their data
Exporting or importing a roster no longer acts before the data it needs has loaded. The resource folder manager opens clean
Opening the folder manager starts a fresh session instead of showing stale state.Multi-day events stay visible while they run
An event that has started but not finished still appears under Coming Up and in digests.Bug fixes and improvements
- Consolidated the text message send path
- Housekeeping for short-lived records
- Reorganised the contributor documentation
- Faster failures in the messaging tests
- Upgraded the Firebase SDKs
- Fixed a build configuration parse failure
- Real coverage, type and lint gates
- Removed an outdated deployment helper
- Simplified hosting configuration
Version 1.8.4
Photos texted in are no longer dropped
Follows the redirect the carrier returns, so a photo sent by text actually arrives.Text only the people going, and let them reply
Event texts go to the families actually attending, and members can text back. The text message box starts empty every time
Opening the event text dialog gives you a fresh message instead of the last one you typed.Non-US phone numbers survive a CSV round trip
Exporting and re-importing the roster no longer mangles international phone numbers.Repeating events appear in every digest
Digest emails list a repeating event on each date it occurs instead of only the first.Repeating events keep their clock time
A weekly 7pm meeting stays at 7pm across a daylight-saving change, and tapping an occurrence opens that occurrence.Event times follow the event, not the viewer
An event shows the time it actually starts where it happens, rather than shifting to whatever timezone you are reading from.See who has signed in, and who never has
The roster shows each member's most recent sign-in, so admins can spot accounts that were never activated.Tighter AI assistant permissions and custom domain fixes
The MCP integration now enforces the exact permissions you granted, custom domains resolve correctly, and repeated sign-in attempts are detected properly.Bug fixes and improvements
- Fixed test fixture authentication
- Credentials moved out of infrastructure state
- Infrastructure applied by the deploy pipeline
- Independent review for every change
- Moved data access behind a typed service layer
- Groundwork for the typed service layer
Version 1.3.3
Bug fixes and improvements
- Fixed post-deploy check authentication
- Clearer post-deploy check failures
- Every test provisions its own data
Version 1.3.0
Everyone can see who is coming
RSVP results are visible to every member of the troop, not just leaders.
Version 1.2.0
An admin switch for text messaging
Text messaging is off until an admin turns it on, and the switch is now enforced on the server rather than only hidden in the interface.Text messaging, with spend caps
Troops can send text messages to members, with platform limits that stop a runaway send from costing more than anyone intended.Bug fix
- Recorded the SMS opt-in compliance evidence
Version 1.0.0
MyTroop 1.0
The platform as it first ran for troops: calendar and events, RSVPs, transportation, rosters and families, email and text messaging, online payments, pages, photo albums, and the help centre.
